Simple Audio Converter

Simple Audio Converter is a simplistic tool that enables you to turn audio tracks (e.g. MP3, WMA, FLAC) into MP3, WMA and WAV. It can be handled even by less experienced users.
The interface of the program is plain and easy to work with. Audio tracks can be imported into the file queue by using only the file browser because the "drag and drop" method is not supported. It is possible to convert multiple songs in a single session.
In the file list you can read the location of each item. Once the output directory and file type have been established, you can proceed with the conversion procedure with the default settings. Otherwise, you can select the audio bit rate. Plus, you can clear the queue.
The audio processing program quickly finishes a task while using a low-to-moderate amount of CPU and system memory. It is very responsive and manages to maintain a good sound quality in the output audio tracks. We have not come across any difficulties throughout our testing; Simple Audio Converter did not freeze or crash.
On the downside, you cannot customize additional audio preferences (e.g. volume level, sample rate, channel mode), specify the thread priority or preview tracks in a built-in audio player. Also, you cannot set Simple Audio Converter to minimize to the system tray, as well as to turn off the computer automatically or to open the output directory after encoding. No recent updates have been made.
