Simple ID3-Tag Editor Description
Simple ID3-Tag Editor is an application with a pretty self-explanatory title - it allows you to edit the ID3 information of your audio tracks with the MP3 format. It can be easily used by individuals of any experience level, including novices.
This is a portable software, so installing Simple ID3-Tag Editor is not necessary. It means that you can store the tool on a removable drive, plug it into any computer and directly run its executable file. What's more important is that your Windows registry keys will remain intact.
The interface of Simple ID3-Tag Editor is based on a standard window in which you can use only the "drag and drop" method to import songs. Batch processing is allowed, meaning that you can add multiple files but you can edit only one at a time.
So, the tool lets you change ID3v1 details (e.g. title, artist, album, comment) and ID3v2 information (e.g. composer, copyright, URL). But you can also enable the program to search subfolders and to remove ID3v1 or ID3v2 information, as well as play songs in the default media player and sort items by text, data or both.
The simplistic software runs on a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our testing. On the other hand, there is no help file available and you cannot change the program's behavior. But the biggest problem is that you cannot process multiple files at once. We recommend Simple ID3-Tag Editor with reservations.
