Simple Unrar Description
One of the most commonly encountered archiving format is RAR. Their content can easily be extracted without installing compression tools, but other utilities dedicated to this purpose. Simple Unrar is a tiny Windows utility that helps you extract files from RAR archives without the need for any other compression tool.
Lightweight and easy to use
Since it isn't a file archiver in essence, Simple Unrar does just that: it opens RAR files and extracts their content in a new folder that has exactly the same name as the archive.
Simple Unrar is very easy to use and it doesn't even need to be installed, which means it's fully portable and can be used from any USB Flash drive or other removable device.
Only usable from the context menu
Simple Unrar has absolutely no interface and no configuration screen. Instead, those who wish to use it need to right click a RAR file and hit the “Open with†option. Navigate to the executable file of Simple Unrar and select it. Additionally, if you wish to associate RAR files with Simple Unrar, you can check the “Always use the selected program to open this kind of file†option.
Easily handles archives of all sizes
Simple Unrar works quick and easy, especially with small archives and it seems to need a moderate amount of computer resources when it has to deal with bigger archives.
Of course, there's no help file since the application doesn't even sport an interface, but it still includes a text document to explain users how to open RAR files with it.
In conclusion
All in all, Simple Unrar is indeed a simple way to deal with RAR archives and the fact that it doesn't need to be installed makes it even better. What's so special about it is that you don't need to fill up precious desktop space, using it only requiring a few mouse clicks.
