SimplePlayer Description
SimplePlayer is a tiny software application which was designed specifically to provide individuals with a simple means of listening to audio files, with just a few clicks.
Uneventful setup and simple-to-handle interface
The installation process is a piece of cake, as it does not last long, and it does not offer to download any third-party apps. Once you are done with it, you come face to face with a minimal and intuitive interface, as it is split into two panes which allow you to view the currently playing song and the playlist created, and also contains a few playback controls, such as play, pause and next. It is dedicated to all types of users, regardless of their experience level.
Supported extensions
This audio player only supports upload of MP3 and WAV formats, as well as Windows Media Playlist with the help of a file browser. The “drag and drop†function is not supported which is a small drawback, as it could have helped you manage files more efficiently.
Mute a song or shuffle the playlist
Aside from that, you should know that the main window enables you to view the elapsed and total time of the currently playing song. It is possible to mute or repeat a track, as well as shuffle the playlist. Another small setback is that you cannot control the volume, which becomes an important feature when it is denied to you.
Conclusion and performance
It does not burden the computer’s performance, as it does not require a large amount of CPU and memory and thus, you can use it alongside other programs without experiencing problems. The response time is good, the interface is minimal and we did not detect any errors or crashes. Nevertheless, it lacks many options other audio players encompass and the interface could benefit from further work. All in all, SimplePlayer proves to be a pretty decent piece of software.
