SkinCalc Description
A computer can handle incredibly complex math operations in less than a second, which make them a powerful ally in calculus. Even Windows comes with a pretty good calculator to help with basic and advanced operations, but there are also third-party alternatives, and SkinCalc is a suitable example in this regard.
Comes with a decent variety of skins
Although you’re taken through a setup process to make the application function, you can choose to have it deployed directly on a thumb drive in case you want or need to use it on other computers. This is possible because it doesn’t make changes to registry entries, so it doesn’t affect the stability of the target PC.
As the name might suggest, one of the application’s strong points wants to be customization. It already comes with a decent variety of skins to choose from, with the possibility to grab more over the web. There’s the possibility to create your own and even edit existing ones, but the process involves quite a bit of activity and code writing.
Process basic math and logical operations
As far as handling math operations goes, the application mostly aims to help you with regular operations. You have several memory slots to make management of results easier, the possibility to have results shown as HEX, decimal, octal, and binary, and several logical operators.
Input can either be done by interacting with buttons in the interface, or the numerical pad on your keyboard. Regardless of the skin you choose, function availability remains the same. There’s also a built-in unit converter, but it’s only capable of handling HEX, dec, oct, and bin values.
On an ending note
To sum it up, SkinCalc is not really an application which comes to help you perform advanced math operations. On the other hand, it wants to be a cool calculator which makes processing complicated numbers seem fun.
