Sofervise Description
Chances are someone else uses your computer on the same account, and you might not want to allow full access to all applications. Rather than taking the time to hide them from plain sight, Sofervise comes as an alternative way to lock custom executables with a password so only you can access them.
Quietly sits in the tray area
Before you can take advantage of what the application has to offer, you need to make sure that .NET Framework is already on your computer. The setup process, on the other hand, is quick and uneventful, letting you take the application for a spin before you realize.
It goes directly to the tray area on launch, with no tooltip or notification to let you know it’s there. Note that the default password to access settings is “2†but it can easily be changed afterwards. Additionally, the application can be made to run with Windows so that it’s ready and puts a lock on target programs by the time you reach the desktop.
Set target programs and launch hotkeys
All applications you add to the list are protected with the master password, and you can’t set a secondary, or alternative one. Sadly, dropping items over the main window has no effect, so you need to use the add function, which also makes it possible to decide whether the item is password protected or minimized to tray.
Applications you add to the list can also be accessed from the tray icon, which is also the place where these can be hidden to, and shown, but not without writing down the password for every operation. Additionally, every program you add can have a custom hotkey command assigned for quick launch.
In conclusion
Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Sofervise is a practical method of preventing others from running programs on your computer which only you need to have control over. It’s easy to configure, and also comes as a fast way of launching these programs.
