Worth mentioning is that the program saves the new files with the 32x32 px resolution only, and it cannot identify multiple icons in the same resource files (wherever this is applicable).

Evaluation and conclusion

Unsurprisingly, it didn't hamper the computer's performance throughout our evaluation, thanks to the fact that it needed low CPU and RAM to work properly. No errors popped up and it didn't hang or crash.
Sofonesia Icon Extractor is speedy and easy to use by anyone, even users with no previous experience with icon extraction tools, but it has limited functionality. For instance, it can only save icons with the 32x32 px size. We are also keeping in mind that it hasn't been updated for a long time, and this is probably why it doesn't meet our standards.
