SolidView Lite

SolidView Lite is a no-cost viewer for Solid File exchange (SFX) files created with SolidView application. It's good for measuring SFX files and enabling true 3D communication. It also supports viewing of STL, VRML, SolidWorks, and other 3D data formats.

Lightweight interface with plenty of tools at hand

SolidView Lite doesn't take long to install and it comes with an extensive Help section that you could check out, if you ever need some guidance. It's packed with all sort of interesting tools and features that you could use in order to view and measure files and make some changes to them.
The first thing that you need to do is to open a SFX file, this application doesn't allow you to create one from scratch.

View and make some changes to SFX files

It comes with the option of switching between multiple views, like Isometric, Trimetric, Section, Top, Bottom and more. You can also change the render mode and rotate 3D images in any way, to view all of their sides.
Pick the section, plane and the part of the image that you would like to measure. You can change the color and materials, to make it easier to analyze the image and to make proper calculations.

More features and tools

There's the option to measure the distance between two points, the angle, thickness or an arc. Other than that, you can measure objects, certain faces, polylines, edges, triangles and a vertex.
The application uses the metric system of measurement, but you can change that in the settings menu. There's the option to highlight certain areas of the image and adjust object attributes.

Adjust settings and print your projects

SolidView Lite comes with an extensive settings menu that allows you to make all sort of changes to the application's functions and even appearance. When you're done working on the project, you can save it in your computer or print it fast.
All in all, SolidView Lite is a nice software solution for viewing and editing SFX files, calculating all sort of things and making some changes to your designs.
