Made as the portable counterpart of Songr, this is an approachable and intuitive software tool that enables you to look up music online, play it, and download favorite songs. It doesn't include complicated options or configuration parameters, making it accessible to all types of users.

Portability benefits

Since installation is not required, you can save Songr anywhere on the disk and just click the executable to launch the app. There is also the possibility to save it to a pen drive to directly run it on any PC with minimum effort. More importantly, it doesn't add new entries to the Windows registry.

Comfortable interface with intuitive options

Inspired from the Microsoft Office 2013 look, the interface is user-friendly. The main app window has a clear-cut structure that invites you to seamlessly look up music by entering an artist or song name.
You can explore music by genre, play tracks in a built-in media player, pause, load the next track in the album, play recent music, view lyrics wherever this is applicable, as well as make a purchase via Amazon, eMusic, iTunes, Rhapsody or Zune.

What's more, you can perform an online search (such as YouTube), copy URLs to the Clipboard, find out about upcoming concerts, and investigate reports with track information concerning low quality, mislabeled songs, remixes, covers or live versions, and other aspects.
Songr lets you perform a track search using lyrics, download clips from YouTube and save them as MPEG video or MP3 audio, play local audio tracks with the MP3 format, check out all downloads and open their location in Windows Explorer without leaving Songr's interface, as well as open multiple instances of the program.

We haven't come across any stability issues in our tests, thanks to the fact that the tool didn't freeze, crash or display error notifications. Its impact on the overall performance of the machine was minimal, since it needed low CPU and memory to work properly.
