Sorting Utility is a very simple and accessible software solution which aims to spare you the trouble of manually organizing words in a list by enabling you to automatically arrange them alphabetically or by length.

The perks of using standalone tools

You can start working with the program immediately after downloading its executable, by double-clicking it, as it does not need to be installed on your system in order to function.
As a consequence, Sorting Utility can be stored and run from any portable memory device, for instance USB sticks, without a trace left on the host system. When done, you can remove it entirely just by deleting it.

Sort words alphabetically, by length or by your personal preferences

After launching the application, you can paste from clipboard or manually input the list of items that you need to be sorted. However, you cannot open it from a file, and copy-pasting can prove tricky, particularly when handling very large lists.
Two built-in sorting methods are offered by the program, namely ‘Alphabetically’ and ‘By Length’, each of the tasks being executed automatically and within just a few moments, once their corresponding button is pressed.
However, if the items need to be arranged using a personalized algorithm, the application allows you to ‘Sort Manually’, asking you to repeatedly choose between the input elements the one that is more important and generating a hierarchy for them based on your responses.
Once the results are in, you can either copy them to clipboard and paste them in the file or window you are working, or you can export them to TXT and CSV format files, to a location of your own choice.
