SP Tiny Notes

SP Tiny Notes is a small-sized and portable application that gives you the possibility to write simple notes to keep track of important ideas, tasks, to-do lists or upcoming events, such as meetings, appointments, birthday parties, or the starting day of your vacation.
It doesn't include advanced options or customization properties, making it accessible to all types of users, even the ones less experienced with such tools.

Portability benefits

Since the tool's not wrapped in a setup kit, you can copy the downloaded files to a preferred directory on the disk or to a USB flash drive, in order to seamlessly launch it on any computer with as little effort as possible.
It doesn't need DLLs or other components to work properly, nor does it add new entries to the system registry. On the other hand, it automatically updates its .dat file to remember your notes, so you should make sure you're not running it from a write-protected device.

Easily keep track of notes and launch web links

As far as the interface is concerned, SP Tiny Notes opts for a small window with a yellow background, inviting you to type or paste text. It's not necessary to click any buttons to save content, as this task is automatically carried out automatically.
URLs are auto-highlighted and can be opened in your default browser by just clicking on them. There's also a search function implemented, which highlights the occurrence of the specified keyword. Apart from the fact that you can access help documentation from the right-click menu, there are no other notable options available.

Evaluation and conclusion

We haven't experienced any compatibility issues with later Windows versions in our tests, although the software utility hasn't received updates for a considerable amount of time. It worked as expected, had minimal impact on the computer's performance, successfully saved notes, and remained stable throughout its runtime.
It may not have a particularly rich set of features, but SP Tiny Notes offers a straightforward method for writing notes rapidly while working or studying on the computer.
