Split MP3

As the title of this software suggests, Split MP3 is an application which allows you to split MP3 files into smaller pieces.
The interface of the tool consists of a standard window in which you can import an MP3 file by using the file browser. The "drag and drop" method and batch processing are not supported.
So, you can play an audio track and mark its start and end point before initiating the cutting process.
Furthermore, you can either save the part in the original format or convert it (to WAV, AAC, WMA, FLAC, M4A or AC3), as well as play the selected piece and choose the bit rate.
The program takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system resources and quickly cuts an MP3 file without freezing, crashing or displaying errors. We haven't come across any issues during our tests.
There is no help file available but that's because Split MP3 is extremely simple to use by individuals of any level. On the other hand, you cannot cut multiple parts of a file, in order to simultaneously cut them. Also, no message pops up at the end to inform you if the cutting process was a success or a failure. The interface needs a makeover since it's outdated.
All in all, Split MP3 comes packed with the necessary and suffice elements for cutting MP3 file but it doesn't offer anything more. Nevertheless, we recommend it to all users who prefer a straightforward tool.
