SqueezeFile Description

If you want to quickly shrink your files, one of the fastest solutions might be to use an online converter. But there is an even more efficient way, with the help of small converter apps, directly from your computer's desktop.

Swiftly reduce the sizes of your images

SqueezeFile is a lightweight and fast piece of software designed to aid you in reducing the size of your images and documents without having to go through complicated actions in the process.
The installation process is fairly uncomplicated and it enables you to install SqueezeFile as a standalone app and/or as a Microsoft Outlook addin, so you can optimize your attachments without having to leave the email client's window.

Straightforward and intuitive workflow

Subsequent to its installation, SqueezeFile is neatly integrated in your system's contextual menu, making it as straightforward as possible for you to reduce the size of your images.
If this does not fit your working style, then you can try the alternative: dragging and dropping the files onto SqueezeFile's icon.
The utility does not come with an interface, in the classical sense, yet it does feature a compact Settings window.

Minimal set of customization features

From here, you can fiddle about with the tool's minimal set of features and options. You can choose the dimensions of your output pictures by choosing from sizes accurately named tiny, small, medium, large and full.
In addition, you are allowed to choose the destination location for the resulting optimized file, either on your computer's desktop or in the same folder as the source file.

Still requires a bit of development work

While the app works well with almost all image formats, the same cannot be said about other types of files. For example, it is advertised that this app can reduce the size of the most common Microsoft Office files such as PPTX, DOCX and XLSX, but that is really not the case.
We can say that SqueezeFile would be a far better app if the development team would implement the option to add custom sizes for your output images in the future versions.

A good app, but there is still potential for improvement

All in all, if you are looking for a very fast way to reduce the size of your images and not much more, then you can give SqueezeFile a try. The only thing you need to keep in mind is the fact that the tool does not allow you to add custom sizes for the output images, thus limiting you with the predefined ones.
