SRS1 Cubic Spline for Excel Description
SRS1 Cubic Spline for Excel is a reliable plugin that enables you to integrate a series of functions, such as cubic spline or linear interpolation to any of the cells in a workbook. The tool is straightforward and it is based on Microsoft Excel’s Insert Function feature, which makes it easy and comfortable for you to use.
Insert spline functions in Excel
SRS1 Cubic Spline for Excel integrates with the spreadsheet editor allowing you to define more functions in each cell. The spline and linear interpolation functions are designed to help you obtain the desired results, based on the input data. The functions allow you to interpolate a smooth line between certain given points, to indicate a trend.
The spline is forced to pass right through all the points in the dataset, creating a graphic guideline that you can easily follow. The real life appliances of the spline functions include the interpolation of monthly values from a set of economic values provided by the user.
Several spline functions included
SRS1 Cubic Spline for Excel allows you to insert several functions in your workbook, including Bassel and Cubic Spline, Linear Interpolation or OneWay Spline.
One convenient feature of this plug-in is that it integrates with Microsoft Excel so that you may select the spline functions just as if they were any other similar tool.
In Microsoft Excel 2013, for instance, this task can be accomplished from the Formula tab, by selecting the ‘Insert Function’ button, accompanied by the ‘Fx’ symbol.
Obtain results based on certain input values
Each function in SRS1 Cubic Spline for Excel relies on given input values and can be customized based on the data volume. The OneWay Spline function, for example, can return monotic results as long as the source data is monotic and generate a highly constrained smooth line. The monotic data is a flat increasing or flat decreasing set of values.
