SrvAny Description

SrvAny has been designed as an alternative to the scheduling utility available in Windows. Its purpose is to start a user-defined program at a specific time interval.

Runs out of the box

There is no need to go through an installation process in this case because the tool is ready to deploy as soon as the content of the archive is extracted and the executable file is double-clicked.
The tool is console-based, which may scare off some users, although working with it is quite simple for a more experienced user and the command-prompt screen provides all the information required for installing the service, removing it as well as for running the desired commands.

Set the time trigger for an application to run

Immediately after defining the application to be run and scheduling it SrvAny starts the count and at the proper time is deploys said program.
There is also the possibility to set a delay time for the first time. After that the application is initiated at the user-defined frequency.
Another exception occurs when the schedule value is set for zero. In this case SrvAny launches the application and then stops running.
Should the information in the command-prompt window prove to scarce or confusing, the developer provide clear examples on the tool’s website.
Included in the downloaded package is also a utility, called Beep, designed to show that the service function was triggered.

Simple utility to launch programs according to a schedule

SrvAny has been created to allow the user to program the launch of specific utilities at a certain time and this is exactly what it does. An average user may not feel too comfortable using it but a more seasoned one should have no problems working with it.
