SSRS Bulk Export is an ingenious tool for extracting a bulk of reports and saving them to your local disk. That does not sound particularly remarkable, however to anyone who has ever had to locate 500 reports- maybe from 10 different folders, open them individually, check the properties, click on edit and save to disk- and then check sub folders it is just what they always wanted. We estimate that to locate open and save 500 reports could quite easily take more than eight hours- and that is before you start work. SSRS Bulk Export - connect to your report server across the Internet or Intranet. Save up to 80 server locations without duplicates with the most recent on top. Presents you with a simple tree view to select the folder to extract - check boxes to include resources and or sub folders. Select the destination location. Overwrite existing files, or export only new reports, click to choose. A verification screen allows you to check your choices - export the log to notepad if required. One click to export- thats it. 8 hours work completed in under 8 minutes, and absolutely no scripting skills needed. This could be done by the office junior before you even reach your desk.
