Stardock Central

Plenty of users have multiple Stardock products available on the system and in such cases, having a central unit that can keep tabs on which has to be updated and the company’s new releases comes in extremely handy.
Stardock Central has been designed with this purpose in mind and offers users a simple way to manage all Stardock software; registering with the company is required in order to benefit from the full features of the application.

Familiar, easy to use layout

Installing the tool is a simple job that should not take more than a minute. It can be used without a registration account in order to test its capabilities.
From the straightforward, Explorer-like interface the user can easily check the list of software offers and the accompanying details. There is a built-in web browser ready to load up the specifics download page in order to ensure the delivery of the original product.

Products have their own description

As far as the details available for each entry are concerned, the application makes available the version number of the currently installed product, date of the latest update and the version that is currently available. There is also the possibility to download the product and register it.
Stardock Central also features a chat utility as well as a news section that should be populated with the latest information from the company. However, the feed is no longer updated.
Moreover, in some cases the product pages lead to addresses that no longer exist on Stardock servers.

Stardock Central still works for some of the items it makes available, but not for all of them and even the news feed stopped. However, it is still useful if you want to check Stardock’s software portfolio.
