Steffen's Notes Description
If you happen to have a busy schedule, chances are you often forget about important activities. However, if your work involves using a computer, this risk considerably minimizes, especially if you rely on some tools to keep your ideas in order. For instance, Steffen's Notes can sit on the desktop so you write down things of interest.
Can be used on the go
The application comes in a pretty lightweight package, and you don’t even need to go through the steps of an installer to make it work. As such, it becomes possible to carry it around on a thumb drive to have all your notes wherever you go. Registry entries are not altered in the process, so stability is not put at risk.
It sits on the desktop for as long as you need it, displaying the time and date to comfortably provide details of interest. It’s also possible to have it minimized, sending the window to the tray area. The associated menu lets you bring it back up, and this menu can also be called from the main window for more options.
Extra tools to help you out
Unlike others of its kind, this application doesn’t make it possible to create multiple notes on the desktop. What it does, however, is let you use up to ten different pages. Sadly, there’s no back button, so you need to scroll through all of them in a forward manner for navigation.
It comes with some extra tools to help out, such as a configurable timer, or even a file launcher to save some navigation time. Saving is possible under the TXT format, but this applies to all pages inside the note, with no option to separate in different documents.
In conclusion
To sum it up, Steffen's Notes isn’t the professional choice when it comes to management of ideas, but it does come packed with some degree of flexibility through multiple pages, as well as a variety of tools to track time, calculate, or launch files.
