Strarc Description

The Strarc application was designed to be a small command line streaming backup / restore tool.
On backup operation:
strarc -c [-afjr] [-z:CMD] [-m:f|d|i] [-l|v] [-s:ls] [-b:SIZE][-e:EXCLUDE[,...]] [-i:INCLUDE[,...]] [-d:DIR] [ARCHIVE] [LIST ...]
On restore operation:
strarc -x [-z:CMD] [-8] [-l|v] [-s:aclst] [-o[:afn]] [-b:SIZE] [-e:EXCLUDE[,...]] [-i:INCLUDE[,...]] [-d:DIR] [ARCHIVE]
On archive testÂ / listing operation:
strarc -t [-z:CMD] [-v] [-b:SIZE] [-e:EXCLUDE[,...]] [-i:INCLUDE[,...]] [ARCHIVE]
Options:
-c Backup operation. Default archive output is stdout. If an archive
filename is given, that file is overwritten if not the -a switch is
also specified.
-x Restore operation. Default archive input is stdin.
-t Read archive and display filenames and possible errors but no
extracting. Default archive input is stdin.Limitations in the unregistered versionThe compression and sparse state of alternate data streams are not backed up / restored.
Short 8.3 filenames as alternate names can only be restored on Windows XP, Server 2003 or later.
The encryption attribute is not restored.
