Subtitle Workshop Portable

Subtitle Workshop Portable is a software tool which helps people create, edit and batch convert subtitle files, with support for a large number of formats, including TXT, ASS, SUB, RT, SBT, SAMI, DKS, SCR, SRT, RTF, XML and TTS.
This is the portable counterpart of Subtitle Workshop, which means the installation process is not necessary. As a result, the Windows registry and Start menu/screen are not going to suffer any changes, and there will be no leftovers upon its removal.
It is also important to mention here, that if you copy the program files to a USB flash drive or other similar portable storage unit, you can easily run it on any computer you can get your hands on, just by double-clicking the EXE.
The interface is quite clean and intuitive, thus allows any type of user to find his or her way around it, without facing issues. Furthermore, it includes a menu bar, several shortcut buttons and preview panels for both video and text. When it comes to movies, you can upload 3GP, AMV, AVI, ASF, MPEG, MOV, VOB, WMV, AC3, OGG and MKV.
The subs can be viewed in two modes, namely by displaying time or frame configurations of the pause length, show subs time and total duration. The movie preview panel contains several playback controls, such as play, pause, stop, go to next or previous and a volume bar.
It is possible to undo or redo actions, cut, copy and paste elements, customize the font type, style, size and color, use a spell checker and a search function, automatically set the duration, activate a translation mode and view various information, such as longest and shortest duration, total number of lines, words and letters, and so on.
All in all, Subtitle Workshop Portable is an efficient piece of software which does not hamper your system’s resources, has a good response time, many options and a user-friendly interface.
