Super DVD Factory is a simple-to-use and straightforward piece of software that allows you to create DVD videos, MPEGs, VCD and SVCD items from Windows Media files, such as AVI, ASF and WMV.
The interface of the application is plain and simple to navigate through. Importing items into the list can be done with the help of the file browser ('drag and drop' is not supported). Unfortunately, you cannot select multiple items to add them to the queue simultaneously.
So, you can preview clips in a built-in media player and trim them by marking the start and end position or time values. But you can also capture frames.
The file queue displays the name, resolution, duration, total frames, default output format, start and end position, along with the status of each item.
By accessing the 'Encoder Settings' screen from the 'Run' menu, you can pick the output file format and configure video settings when it comes to the TV system type (NTSC or PAL), aspect ratio and quality. Experienced users may also crop the clips or make them scale to the full screen, as well as select the audio type and bit rate. When the project is done, you can burn the video to disc.
The DVD movie processing tool runs on a moderate amount of CPU and system memory, is pretty responsive to commands and provides users with help documentation. We have not come across any errors during our tests and Super DVD Factory did not freeze or crash. However, the app has not been updated for a very long time.
