SuperAlarm Description
It can be quite the challenge to get out of bed in the morning, even if there’s an alarm configured to help you out. However, alarms are used for more than just to wake you up, and act also as helpful reminders for upcoming events. In this regard, SuperAlarm comes with a slot for every day of the week if you have a busy schedule.
Perks of portability and visual design
Without requiring setup in order to function, the application can be taken for a spin as soon as download is done. This means you can use it as your personal alarm clock even on other computers by simply storing it on a thumb drive. Registry entries are not modified in the process, so you can rest assured that the health status of the target PC remains intact.
All the application has to offer is found in a classic, simple window, but with an intuitive layout to keep accommodation efforts to a minimum. There’s a configuration field for every day of the week, as well as controls to stop the audio alert, or snooze. Sadly, you can’t configure the snooze period.
Set time, alerts, and choose active days
With everything configured, minimizing the application sends it to the tray area so it doesn’t take any desktop precious space. You can even add a shortcut to the system Startup folder so it automatically starts with Windows to have alarms armed and ready by the time you reach the desktop.
You need to select the days of active alarms. Time is either PM or AM, with dedicated fields for value. Audio alerts can come in the form of a WAV or MP3 file, which you select through the browse dialog. Every day can have its own audio alert, but there’s no option to also add a message.
In conclusion
To sum it up, SuperAlarm is a lightweight, straightforward tool you can use to remind you of important events each day. You can assign a different audio file to each day, while the application quietly sits in the tray area until the time comes. It’s portable, and thus a personal alarm clock.
