The software is unsophisticated and comes in handy when you don’t seem to find the time to run certain tasks on your computer.
The program comes with a simple, intuitive interface that’s not very visually-attractive. However, thanks to its simplicity, the app is easy to use even by those with less experience.
Despite the fact that all the options are easily accessed from the main frame window, the UI doesn’t look crowded.
One of the functions available in Sveglia is the ability to activate an alarm at a user-defined time. While the software already has a default alarm, you can choose another file from your computer. The app supports various audio formats, such as MP3, WAV, MIDI and WMA.
Sveglia can also start various programs whenever you need them to run. This can come in handy especially if you want to schedule an app to run when you’re away from your computer. Choosing the software has to be done through browsing, which means you have to locate the desired program and select the EXE file.
The shutdown and restart options can’t work at the same time as “Active Alarm” and “Active Software”.
So, if you want to run certain tasks when you’re not home, such as downloading or installing important updates or enable lengthy antivirus scans, but still have your computer shut down after a certain amount of time, you can do so easily with this app.
All in all, Sveglia (Italian for “Alarm”) is a useful tool that barely has any impact on your CPU.
