SynFS

SynFS allows you to attach meaningful, real world information to any file or folder in much the same way that WinFS can. The attached information can be viewed directly through Windows Explorer just as you would see the file name, file size, or date modified. You can define what kind of information you want associated with a file or folder based on what the item is (purchase order, recipe, schematic, or form) Once you have attached the information, you can use SynFS search feature to find up to 60 000 files and folders in only 30 seconds. This new application helps you to append contact information to files and folders, allowing you to e-mail, instant message, or phone any person associated with an item. Version 1.0 of SynFS is also network capable, letting you access information about files and folders stored remotely on network shares.
