System Timer is a small Windows application designed specifically for helping you automatically shut down or restart the computer, or log off the current user at a custom time.

Minimalistic looks

There’s not much to brag about the user interface, as you are welcomed by a clean and simplistic layout that offers only a few dedicated parameters to experiment with.

Simple-to-configure options

System Timer gives you the possibility to trigger the desired action (shut down or restart the computer, or log off the current user) by simply specifying the time (in hours, minutes, and seconds). As soon as you activate the desired task, the program displays a small countdown timer in the primary panel.
The lack of configurable settings makes it an ideal app for rookies. However, it would have been useful to see support for a feature that could help you pause or stop the countdown timer. You are allowed to cancel the current action by closing the utility.
During our testing we have noticed that System Timer carries out a task quickly and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. As it would be expected from such a small utility, it remains light on system resources, so it doesn’t burden computer performance, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality.

All things considered, System Timer proves to be a simple software application that comes bundled with only a few features for helping you shut down or restart the computer, or log off the current user directly from your screen. It can be mastered by all types of users, regardless of their experience level.
