Tap! Description
Music is not just a random streak of sounds which go well together, but rather a synchronize group of instruments, each emitting just the right note at the exact time. Everything is played according to a specific tempo, which can be easily learned using a metronome. In this regard, Tap! comes as a lightweight VST plugin to help in musical compositions.
The package contains the required library to include in a suitable VST host application, with energyXT being a proper example. It can be manually routed to output devices, but the default configuration already binds it to any output device available.
All properties of the metronome are handled from the corresponding control panel. On the one hand, there’s a list of related details such as the MIDI channel which can be changed through a drop-down menu, the note, host BPM, as well as tapped BPM for manual configuration.
One method of setting the tempo is to manually hit the “tap†button a few times to set interval. This can also be done with a proper input device, such as a pedal connected to the PC. Tempo can also be fine tuned by slightly increasing or decreasing values using dedicated buttons.
Additional controls can be used to set master level so it doesn’t interfere too much with actual audio input. A tone knob is there to help adjust the frequency, while playback is initiated at the press of a button.System requirementsVST Host
