Music is a domain of activity which greatly benefits from the evolution of technology, and all processing effects, and even music composing itself can entirely be done on a PC. Specialized VST host applications can house dedicated plugins for sound manipulation, and Taurus wants to be an emulator for the popular Moog Taurus bass pedal.
Since it’s merely a plugin, it can be easily carried around on a USB flash drive to be used on other computers for music compositions. However, a suitable program like VSTHost needs to be installed on the target PC, otherwise the set of features isn’t available as a stand-alone product.
Once integrated, it can be routed to audio input and output racks exactly where needed. Real-time playback makes it easy to tell what each knob does, or how sliders modulate, or alter sound. Input from the associated MIDI device is captured, and processed to enhance low frequency levels, which stand for bass.
By default, glide, and decay effects are enabled, but functionality is toggled at the press of a button. Play mode can be set to one of three modes, with beat, and tune knobs for fine adjustment of sound. Additional sliders can be used for sound normalization, with options for volume, attack, and decay, as well as a custom filter fitted with cutoff, emphasis, contour amount, attack, and decay.System requirementsVST host
