Tea Timer

There are times when your schedule is too busy to be able to remember small things, such as when to check whether or not your tea is ready. Needless to say that the range of activities which require a close watch stretches greatly, and you might find applications like Tea Timer useful, especially if you spend most of your time in front of the PC.

One advantage in particular is the lack of a setup process, which allows you to have the application stored on a thumb drive, and even used on other computers as a personal alarm. Runtime doesn’t affect the functionality of the target PC, so it’s safe to say that the health status remains intact.
A pretty compact box shows up on the desktop on launch, with a predefined timer value already selected. You can freely move it across the desktop to any suitable position, and the window stays on top of everything else, so it’s always in plain sight, but this option can’t be toggled, or the window minimized.

Create a list of multiple alarms

Although there are no buttons in the main window, you still have simple controls which are accessed from the context menu. One option is to start the counter, which brings up a new configuration window. You can easily set up a one-time counter, for which you simply specify minutes and seconds.
There’s an additional list of preset alarms, and you can even add your own. Sadly, there’s no possibility to set messages to alerts, but you can have an audio effect played when the time comes, as well as five seconds before, just so you know in advance.

In conclusion

On an ending note, Tea Timer might not be packed with a great variety of features to set messages, or repetitive alerts, but it does provide enough liberty to have a list created and saved with multiple alarms.
