The advantages of being portable

Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry.
You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to use a countdown timer on the breeze, without having to go through installation steps.

Minimalistic looks

There’s not much to brag about the user interface, as you are welcomed by a clean and simplistic layout that offers only a few dedicated parameters to experiment with.

Simple-to-configure options

Tea Timer gives you the possibility to start or stop the countdown timer, and set the time with the aid of the two small buttons embedded in the main window, which help you add or subtract 15 seconds. When the time is up, the utility automatically plays a preset sound notification and displays a popup messages (“Your tea is prepared”).
The lack of configurable settings makes it an ideal app for rookies. However, it would have been useful to see support for features that could help you enter a user-defined time and add a custom audio file.
During our testing we have noticed that Tea Timer carries out a task quickly and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. As it would be expected from such a small utility, it remains light on system resources, so it doesn’t hamper computer performance, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality.

All things considered, Tea Timer proves to be a simple software application worth having when you need to use a countdown timer. It can be mastered by all types of users, regardless of their experience level.
