Tether Check Description
When you connect to the Internet via a hotspot or a tethered phone, the network connection signal might not always be as stable as you would like.
Tether Check can help you keep an eye on its strength by displaying notifications whenever its status changes. This way you no longer need to refresh a web page or use a ping utility to check manually if you are connected to the Internet or not.
System tray app for monitoring signal strength
Once you install this application on your computer, it minimizes to the system tray automatically meaning that it does not take any space on your desktop or taskbar.
Furthermore, you can set it to run at Windows startup and, since it runs in the background, you might even forget about it. It constantly monitors the signal strength of your Internet connection and displays an alert when it is lost or resumed so that you can continue your work.
Adjust the test frequency and method
Regarding customization, Tether Check offers you the possibility to alter the test frequency to as many seconds as you see fit if you are not pleased with the standard configuration. Similarly, you can set the alert to be displayed after a custom defined number of connection failures.
Additionally, you can switch between DNS and Ping as the default testing method, as well as create a list with the Internet test targets that you prefer.
Check network connection without hassle
All in all, Tether Check comes in handy to all those who connect to the Internet via a dongle or by tethering the connection from a smartphone.
It saves them the time they would otherwise waste trying to refresh websites or to re-establish the connection when they notice is has been lost. Due to this app, users are notified as soon as the signal strength decreases or increases, without any effort on their side.
