TheBat! Skin Pack

Changing the looks of the operating system or of the installed applications is an easy thing to carry out for most users, especially if some interesting customizations are at hand. Themes, skins and visualizations are some of the most often used means of revamping software and OS alike, so there are countless solutions developed for this mainly aesthetic purpose.
For those who are using one of the first versions of the well-known e-mail client The Bat! there are some iconsets which can be used to give a fresh look to the default skin, but there are also collections, like TheBat! Skin Pack, which can bring back the old icons.
Since it is compiled as a collection of bitmap images, this package brings several customizations which can be used to modify all the icons displayed inside the e-mail client. Thus, users can enjoy new symbols for every supported operation.
The installation procedure is as simple as it gets because all one has to do is place the skin inside the root directory of the e-mail client. The glyphs are recognized automatically by The Bat! and the new icon scheme will be applied automatically after the application is restarted.
Each skin can be previewed in a simple manner. The user has to extract the BMP file from the archive and open it with any image viewing utility. This way, all the contained icons will be shown neatly ordered and will enable the user to get an idea about how they will look like when assigned to the functions of The Bat!.
