Time Tracker Description
Sure enough you can often feel like there’s barely enough time to make it through the day finishing all scheduled activities, but this might just be a consequence of not knowing the time you spend on your tasks. Luckily, there are various specialized applications like Time Tracker, fitted with multiple project management functions.
Cleverly organized interface
First of all, you might want to make sure that Adobe AIR is on your computer before you benefit from all the application has to offer, because it’s a required component to both install and run the application. Accommodation doesn’t keep you busy for a lot of time, since the window is cleverly structured in several intuitive tabs.
Multiple categories are at your disposal, such as hours, clients, projects, hour logs, and stats, each with several requirement fields, some of which are mandatory, but also marked so you don’t end up confused. Unfortunately, you’re not really told what values are first required, but it’s a good idea to start from the clients to be able to properly create projects.
View stats and export task lists
A project consists of a name, client, and you can fit it with a description. Be sure to make it active if you want to effectively track hours. Multiple projects can be added and tracked at the same time, because adding work hours isn’t done as you work, but at the end of the session.
On the long run, the application makes it possible to set up a date filter in order to find previous tasks for analysis. Here is also the place where you can export task lists under the CSV format. Additionally, you can take a look at stats, which area neatly displayed in a pie chart.
A few last words
Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Time Tracker might not come with an advanced set of features for complex projects and resource management. However, it’s fitted with just the right amount of complexity to help with day-to-day and long term activity tracking.
