Tipard HD Video Converter

Tipard HD Video Converter is an application that you can use to encode video files to multiple formats in HD mode, including AVI, MP4, 3GP, MOV and ASF.
The interface of the program is clean and pretty intuitive. Media files can be imported into the list by using either the file browser, treeview or "drag and drop" method. Batch processing is allowed.
In the queue you can view the name, original and trimmed length, along with the output profile of each file. All you have to do is specify the target directory and file type, in order to proceed with the encoding job.
Furthermore, you can modify audio and video settings when it comes to the encoder, frame rate, resolution, bit rate, channel mode and sample frequency rate. Options can be saved to a new profile or restored to their default values.
On top of that, you can preview clips in a built-in media player and take snapshots, select the audio track and subtitle language, merge and crop videos, trim them by marking the start and end position or values, add watermarks (text or picture), make image adjustments (e.g. brightness, saturation), and others.
During conversion, you can check out two progress bars on the current and all files, elapsed and remaining time, along with the converted length of the current file. But you can also pause the task and enable Tipard HD Video Converter to automatically turn off the computer or to open the output directory after encoding, as well as to to run in the background.
The media conversion software requires a massive amount of system resources, has a good response time, includes a well-drawn help file with snapshots and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. It can take a while to complete a job and preserves a fair image and sound quality (but it could had been better). We recommend Tipard HD Video Converter with some reservations.
