Toastmasters Timer

Toastmasters Timer is a small Windows application whose sole purpose is to help you place a timer on your screen, which can be moved to the desired area of your desktop.
The utility is specifically designed for Toastmaster meetings in order to help the members of the education organization to time their speeches. Additionally, you may run multiple instances of the program.

Simplistic looks

There’s not much to brag about the user interface, as it sports a clean and plain layout. Everything is kept as simple and clear as possible, so even rookies can learn to master the entire process in no time.

Using the built-in timer

Toastmasters Timer gives you the possibility to specify a minimum and maximum time value in minutes. What’s more, you are allowed to start, stop, or resume the timer.
When the time is up, the tool automatically plays a sound notification and colors the background red. Additionally, as the time passes, the program colors the background orange and then red in order to signal that the current speaker exceeded the preset time needed to deliver his/her speech.
Since it doesn’t require much computer knowledge to work with this tool, even rookies can learn to master the process.
During our testing we have noticed that Toastmasters Timer carries out a task very quickly, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. As it would be expected from such a small utility, it remains light on system resources, so it doesn’t hamper computer performance, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality.

Bottom line

To sum things up, Toastmasters Timer comes bundled with only a few dedicated parameters for helping you use a timer. On the downside, it doesn’t let you record the results and export them to a file.
