Top RM Converter

As the name of this software implies, Top RM Converter allows you to encode video files with the RM format. The tool can be easily used by individuals of any experience level.
The interface of the program is plain and simple to navigate through. Video clips can be imported into the list by using the file browser only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is allowed.
In the list you can check out the status, job type, source and target name along with details on each task. So, you can split videos by marking their start and end position, as well as merge clips and encode them to other file extensions, such as AVI, MPEG, DVD and WMV.
On top of that, you can change video preferences when it comes to the frame rate, resize mode, compression level, TV system and others. The simplistic program takes up a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to keep a fair image and sound quality after conversion.
There's also a brief help file available. However, you cannot change audio settings (e.g. sample frequency rate, volume, channel mode), the interface is outdated and Top RM Converter failed a couple of jobs during our tests (e.g. RM-to-AVI conversion). We recommend this tool with reservations.
