Trackpad Magic is a small utility that allows you to disable and enable the Apple Macbook trackpad easily. It even has the automatic mode which mimics OS Xs option --- When you insert a mouse, it automatically disables the laptop trackpad. When the mouse is removed, the trackpad is re-enabled.
