Among the available solutions, you may also find Transfer Booster, a small and user-friendly application that promises to optimize the copying speed of files between different drives or folders.

Simple looking and intuitive usage

When launching the program, it might be best to do so using your administrator privileges, as this way you will avoid any potential runtime errors.
The main window of Transfer Booster is quite basic and unimpressive, with two buttons for ‘Boost Transfer’ and ‘Normalize’, also displaying status information, so you can know whether it is at normal or boosted speed. A small ‘+ / -’ button in the lower right corner allows you to add or remove it from your startup list.

What the tool boast about being able to do is to reduce the copy duration for data files, useful particularly for large documents, in the order of GB, for instance, which require significant amounts of time to be transferred completely and if you need them urgently, this can cause serious break in your workflow.
While it is not clear what exactly Transfer Booster claims to be doing, given that its effects are not in any way detailed through any documentation, guide or help file, the result should be visible after pressing the ‘Boost Transfer’ button. However, during testing, we had a difficult time noticing a difference between the two states, pre- and post-optimization, in spite of the several attempts made.

All in all, Transfer Booster is a user-friendly tool that aims to assist you in copying files quicker from one location to the other. Despite not having revealed any results during our testing, you can always try it out for yourself and decide whether it works for you or not.
