TranslateMe Description

TranslateMe is a straightforward piece of software that aims to offer you a quick and easy way to translate expressions, define words, as well as search content on Wikipedia and Dictionary.com from under a single roof.

Be advised: only half of the functions really work

Unfortunately, the 'translate' part of TranslateMe seems to be a bit overstated, as the app's two main features, namely the Google Translate and the Google Dictionary, do not work.
That is a shame, since the utility comes with one of the fastest 'snap-area' OCR tools we have encountered, that swiftly transfers English and Hebrew text from any source directly into TranslateMe's window.
And, since there have not been any updates for a very long time, you should view it as an application that enables you to only search for content on Wikipedia and Dictionary.com.

Unobtrusive app with a compact and unimpressive interface

TranslateMe is integrated with the system tray, from where it can be easily summoned with a single mouse click on its icon. Thus, you are greeted by a simple main window that offers quick access to all the functions.
The interface is not a looker, but it partly makes up for this by providing you the possibility to fully customize the colors within the Settings window.
Working with the remaining available features of TranslateMe is hardly a challenge, regardless of your PC skills or experience. Simply select the source from either Wikipedia or Dictionary.com and type or paste words or expressions in the designated field.

TranslateMe, but without the translation part

All in all, what we have here is, in fact, half of an application with a name that cannot possibly stand on its own.
If everything had worked, TranslateMe could unquestionably be considered a useful app. As it is, it only offers you the possibility to search on Wikipedia and Dictionary.com.
