Tune'm Description

In order for a guitar to generate a clean, proper sound, strings need to be stretched with a great deal of accuracy. Getting them to the right tension points is called tuning, and this also requires some effort on your behalf. For instance, Tune'm wants to help you tune your guitar by matching notes, in case you’re not really aware of the perfect pitch.

Can be used on the go

The application comes in a lightweight package, and doesn’t even take any of your time with an installation process. This means you can use it on other computers other than your own directly from a USB flash drive. Another advantage of portability is that registry entries remain intact during usage, so the target PC’s stability is not affected.
In terms of design, all the application has to offer can be found in a compact, custom-made interface. It’s simplicity makes it easy to understand by individuals of all experience levels, especially strings and notes are numbered, so you know exactly which to tune.

Tuning done by matching sounds

On the other hand, the application doesn't read audio input, which means hooking your guitar up to the computer to tell tuning error isn’t possible. The way in which you are helped though, is by having the right tone continuously played, so you can then adjust string tension until sounds match.
The default configuration is set to the standard EADGBe octave. A single push of a note emits sound one time, but there’s an option you can check to loop sound. Unfortunately, there aren’t any octaves for more tuning options. However, there’s the possibility to drop D, which changes E to D, or double drop D, affecting the first string, which is e.

A few last words

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Tune'm can surely help you make your guitar sound as it should, but some effort is also required on your behalf. Tuning isn’t semi-automatic, since audio input isn’t necessary, or supported for that matter. The standard octave is provided, with little variations.
