Twine

Twine is a useful piece of software which was created in order to help you create and manage stories, as well as save them to the hard drive, in several formats.
The installation process is simple and surprise-free, and after you are done with it, you come face to face with a simple UI. It is only comprised of a menu bar, several shortcut buttons and a panel to display all the elements present in your story. It can be used with great ease by anybody, be they experienced or not with computers.
This program supports import from file types such as TWEE, TW, TXT and HTML, while export is possible in RTF, TXT or TWEE formats. You can also upload images from the hard drive (GIF, JPG, PNG, SVG and WEBP) or from a specified URL, as well as input CSS and script codes.
There are a few story formats you can use, namely sugarcane, responsive and Jonah, which enable you to view your story in different modes (stretch text, different colored background, view bookmarks etc.). It is also possible to insert special passages, so as to introduce particular information, such as title, subtitle, author, menu and settings.
A search function is incorporated, as well as a find and replace one, and you can easily undo or redo actions, cut, copy, paste and delete elements, zoom in and out, and view story statistics (number of characters, words, passages, links).
