TwitDoc Description
TwitDoc is a lightweight Adobe Air-based software application whose purpose is to help you upload files to Twitter and post tweets without attachments.
Clean feature lineup
You are welcomed by a simple design that gathers all configuration settings into a single panel. In order to post data on Twitter you need to sign in using your account. Plus, an active Internet connection is needed in order to complete the process successfully.
Twitter posting options
TwitDoc gives you the possibility to type in the information that you want to post directly in the main window or paste it from the clipboard.
A character counting tool is embedded in the main window for helping you estimate the length of your tweets. In case you embed URLs in your posts, the program is able to automatically shorten them.
What’s more, you can insert attachments by dragging and dropping them directly in the main window. The tool allows you to upload files with up to 15 MB and works with document (DOC, DOCX), PowerPoint (PPT, PPTX), Excel (XLS, XLSX), PDF, PS, Open Office (e.g. ODT, ODP), and text (RTF, TXT) files. In addition, you may upload pictures (JPG, PNG, GIF) with up to 10 MB and videos (e.g. AVI, MOV, MPEG, FLV) with up to 25 MB.
The program does not eat up a lot of CPU and memory resources so the overall performance of the computer is not affected.
Bottom line
To sum things up, TwitDoc has to offer nothing more than a simplistic software solution for helping you post tweets, and is suitable especially for less experienced users. Professionals may look for something else because this is not an advanced and fully-featured Twitter client. You cannot schedule tweets and check out other posts, just to name some options.
