Uninstall Manager Description
Uninstall Manager is an application which can help you remove unnecessary files from your hard drive. Thus, you will free up space and your computer's performance will improve.
Clean looks
The user interface of the program is plain and simple. Once you initialize Uninstall Manager, you can run a wizard to select a volume, scan it and "take its snapshot."
On the left side of the screen, you can use a treeview to navigate within the folders, and on the right you can select files for deletion (after checking out their name, path, size, type and date).
Scan mode and exporting options
In addition, you can perform a new scan for the latest additions that have been displayed since the last time you took a snapshot, and export the file names to a TXT file.
Backup/restore operations, system file changes and other features
But you can also change the slot (used for multiple snapshots and backups), backup and restore Windows settings, configure color settings and clean the temporary files. Furthermore, you can check the system files for any changes, as well as find and restore overwritten system files.
Configuration settings
In the "Options" menu, you can enable Uninstall Manager to perform an automatic scanning at startup, send deleted files to Recycle Bin, show file icons and types, as well as create an exclusion list, change the interface font, add items to the "Quick Clean" search list (e.g. GID files, Windows temporary files), and more.
Performance
The tool uses a moderate amount of system resources and includes a step-by-step guide with snapshots. However, Uninstall Manager is not able to delete all the items resulted after a scan job, since some of them belong to Windows.
Conclusion
All in all, Uninstall Manager is a good tool for deleting unwanted files, but it definitely needs some improvements when it comes to its interface and functionality.
