UPX Graphical is an approachable software utility that you can use to compress and unpack executable files with UPX. It does not come loaded with complex options and configuration parameters, making it accessible to all kinds of users.

The setup procedure does not take a long time to finish. As far as the interface is concerned, UPX Graphical adopts a regular window with a neatly organized structure comprised from multiple tabs dedicated to opening and compressing files, as well as configuring settings.

Easily compress files and edit settings

Once you point out the executable file, you can customize compression settings when it comes to the use of an external output and UPX, decompression mode, UPX scrambling, reducing the EXE file before compressing it, forcing the compression of suspicious files, compression level, along with the use of Izma UPX 2.9x or higher.
Additional options revolve around the compression of resources, backup copies, relocation stripping, icon and export compression, force compression, along with an entry in the Windows Explorer context menu for quick access (you can edit the entry name).

Evaluation and conclusion

No error messages were shown in our evaluation, and the tool did not hang or crash. It has a good response time and minimal impact on computer performance, thanks to the fact that it needs a low amount of CPU and RAM to work properly. Unfortunately, UPX Graphical has not been updated for a pretty long time. Otherwise, users can test it for themselves to see whether it meets their requirements or not.
