USB Runner Description
USB Runner is a simple-to-use application that allows you to make any executable file from a USB flash disk automatically run when you plug the device into the computer. It can be seamlessly handled by all types of users, regardless of their skill level.
After a brief and uneventful setup procedure that does not require any special input from the user, you are greeted by a small, standard window with a plain layout, representing USB Runner's interface.
From a drop-down list you can select the removable drive, as long as it's already plugged into the workstation. By using the file browser you can select a file from the respective drive and add it to the list, in order to make it automatically run at the next flash disk boot.
You can add as many EXE files as you want, in order to make all of them automatically run. The tool creates a file named "autorun.flash" on the USB flash drive. In order to remove the autorun status, you can either delete the EXE's entry from the main frame, or remove the aforementioned "autorun.flash" item.
USB Runner is very low-demanding when it comes to the CPU and system memory, so it doesn't burden the computer's overall performance. It has a good response time to commands, and immediately applies the new changes to USB flash disks, without hanging, crashing or displaying error notifications. We have not encountered any problems throughout our evaluation. In conclusion, USB Runner offers a straightforward method to create autorun executable files on USB flash drives.
