USMAN SEARCHER is an accessible and easy-to-use application designed to offer a swift way to find documents, images and entire directories quickly on your computer, and search the Internet without using the standard web browser, but a more simpler and less complicated version. Additionally, it helps you to filter the process, by selecting the item's type.

Choose the desired mode you want to use to look up for files

The program offers an outdated yet simple interface with three separate functions to choose from. Each one provides different options, which are web search, file name and format. In order to look for particular words, all you need to do is type it in the displayed bar and hit search.
You can choose from six distinct engines, such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, Altavista, Ask Jeeves and Lycos. Below the panel the URL of the site is showed, and can be copied to the clipboard, or saved in a document for future use. Using only one engine or all of them is possible. To view the results, just check each tab.

Find documents on your PC by their name and type

To start looking for a file, you have to fill in the whole title or just a part of it. In addition, for a more accurate find, you can choose an extension from the list, such as TXT, DOC, TM, JPG, MP3 or DLL and the hard drive you want to scan. The process is completed almost instantly, but may vary based on how powerful the system is. The results are displayed in alphabetical order along with their entire path.
A counter tells how many records were found and the current selected one. Furthermore, you can view detailed information about each document, by accessing the item's properties, as well as browse between them using the navigational controls. They can be opened and saved in F4U file format.
