VB6 Setup Program with Skin Description
There are many programmers who use Visual Basic to create the setup package for their newly developed projects, yet this also comes with very limited customization possibilities.
If you want to overcome these restrictions, you can turn to VB6 Setup Program with Skin so as to enhance your setup file with additional functions.
More precisely, due to this app, you get the possibility to generate installers that feature a skin and are multi-language (English, French, Spanish and Italian). Moreover, the language is automatically switched to the one detected on the host PC, where the setup file has been accessed.
In order to benefit from the improvements provided by this utility, you need to manually navigate to the directory where your Visual Basic 6.0 is installed, then locate the sub-directory where the setup wizard is stored (it should look something like this: C:\Program files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VB98\Wizards\PDWizard).
Once you find the setup1.exe you should assign it a different filename, then copy the file from the downloaded package to the setup wizard folder.
After you completed these steps, every time you create a new installer using the built-in setup wizard of Visual Basic 6.0, the newly copied executable will be used.
On the other hand, if you are not pleased with its feature-set and you want to go back to using the standard setup wizard, you can simply delete the new setup1.exe, and rename the old one to its original name. This way, everything is restored to its initial state, without any modifications.
