VCFs2CSV

VCFs2CSV is a command-line software utility whose purpose is to turn VCF files into CSV format. It does not include any other settings, making it suitable for novice and advanced users alike.
Software products with graphical interfaces are frequently users' choice when it comes to performing a conversion task. However, some users prefer working with a Command Prompt dialog for getting the job done in no time.
Tools running in the console are known to use less system resources. Therefore, the overall performance of the computer is not affected.
VCFs2CSV does not require installation, which makes it portable. You can drop the executable file to a custom directory on the hard disk and call its process from a Command Prompt dialog.
It is also possible to save VCFs2CSV to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit to run it on any machine with minimum effort. Some third-party components are required though, as you can see in the Requirements section below.
There is nothing much to say about the application, as it supports a single command line, namely for pointing out the directory of VCF files you want to process. In other words, batch processing is supported, so you can convert multiple files at the same time. Unfortunately, you cannot modify the default output directory.
As expected, VCFs2CSV is very low-demanding when it comes to CPU and RAM consumption. We have not come across any issues throughout our evaluation, since the app did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. All in all, VCFs2CSV serves its purpose in a straightforward manner.
