Vibrato Description
Vibrato is s feather-light tool that enables Paint.net users to quickly put together random, fluid and abstract art based on the specified settings. It lets you tinker with the RGB channels.
Easy setup and interface
Installing this plugin takes minimal time and effort, since all you have to do is copy the downloaded DLL file to the "Effects" folder of Paint.net's files, whether we're talking about the installer or portable version of the image editing application.
In the following step, it's necessary to restart the drawing utility if it's currently running, in order to gain access to the new Vibrato extension found in the "Effects" menu.
Customize RGB preferences
The control window of this add-on has a neatly structured layout, showing sliders for each possible adjustment, along with small boxes for entering the numerical values if you have this precise information at hand.
It's possible to tweak the X and Y zooming level of the red, green and blue channels, as well as to set the adjustment factor (Z). Any setting can be restored to default with the click of a button.
Evaluation and conclusion
Although the software product hasn't received updates for a long time, Vibrato integrated flawlessly with the most recent edition of Paint.net in our tests. It remained stable throughout its runtime, without hanging, crashing or displaying error messages. Effects were swiftly rendered, during which the photo editor was low on system resources usage, thanks to the fact that it needed a low amount of CPU and RAM to work properly.
To sum it up, Vibrato provides experienced and casual users alike with a simple means of rendering random, fluid and abstract art by taking into account the customized RGB channels in Paint.net. It's free for non-commercial use.
