Video Frame Calculator Description

Smooth videos mean they have a high frame rate. This value represents the number of pictures displayed in a second, and it’s easy to understand why a higher frame rate is better. Video processing might even depend on a video frame rate value. In this regard, Video Frame Calculator wants to tell you how many frames are in a timespan.

Performs calculus without requiring the source video

The application can be put to good use from the moment download is done, and this is possible because it’s not packed inside an installer. This also means you can easily have it stored on a thumb drive to use wherever necessary. Target system stability is not affected, because it doesn’t make any changes to registry entries to enable functionality.
As far as the visual design is concerned, the application stores its set of features in a classic window frame, with intuitive input fields, and result generated at the press of a button. What’s more, you don’t actually need a video file to calculate the total number of frames, but you might want to analyze the target video frame rate for accurate results.

Shows total frames in a custom time span

Input is quite straightforward, relying on a couple of time values. You thus need to specify the start and end time of the section of interest, and this is done in a hh:mm:ss format. The last steps is to pick the video frame rate, with the application presenting a few presets based on various video standards, but you can also add a custom value.
At the press of a button the application displays the total number of frames within the specified time span. In case you’re not really sure about the frame rate of the clip of interest, you can easily find it by accessing the properties panel via the context menu, and switching to the details tab.

On an ending note

Bottom line is that Video Frame Calculator can be especially helpful when you need to fill in gaps within videos, but are not exactly sure how many frames can fit. It comes in a lightweight package, and it doesn’t even need a video clip to generate the result.
