For instance, music can be composed, and enhanced using a variety of specialized computer applications, and effects. In this regard, Vinylizer adds that vinyl, old-school dust effect to audio input.
To be able to benefit from this enhancement, a suitable host program such as VSTHost needs to be installed, and used, because this package is merely a set of components and libraries which build up a VST plugin. When not directly used, it can sit on a thumb drive along with other plugins from a collection, given it’s lightweight.
Wiring is automatically done, depending on the VST host application used. It can be routed to any input, and output devices inside the composition to enhance a specific sound bit in particular. All adjustments are applied in real time, with noticeable impact on audio feedback, and a toggle button to turn off the effect at any given moment.
The plugin comes with a set of knobs to adjust the general effect. Although there’s no volume slider, a proper knob configuration blends sound to mimic vinyl playback. The dust knob plays a major role, with additional controls for decenter, high damage, and stop time in milliseconds.
